HE OHANA NO KA AINA
A family of the land and sea

WHAT WE STAND FOR
Rooted in aloha ʻāina, guided by purpose.
Born from the shores of Moloaʻa, Kauaʻi, the Kapule ʻohana were paddle makers, fishermen, and farmers, people of the ʻāina, sustained by the land and sea.
Today, through Kapule Organization, the nonprofit owner of the LLC, we carry that legacy forward: nurturing opportunity, building community, and honoring the values passed down by our kūpuna.

Kapule Organization was born from gratitude for the generations who came before us and the community that shaped who we are today. From our kūpuna to our parents, teachers, coaches, and extended ʻohana, so many people worked tirelessly to give us opportunity, guidance, and support.
We created this organization to give back to the Native Hawaiian community that has always lifted us.
Early on, we learned about the SBA 8(a) Program and recognized an opportunity to build a Native Hawaiian owned business that could compete for federal contracts and funnel those resources back into our community. Through this model, we aim to strengthen existing programs, support the incredible organizations already doing the work, and provide added capacity through funding, workforce development, and shared knowledge.
Everything we do is rooted in gratitude, guided by our values, and inspired by those who made our path possible.
Giving back to the community that raised us.

OUR PROJECTS

Kapule Organization, in partnership with Huli, offers an ongoing program that takes students on a traditional Hawaiian voyaging canoe through Maunalua Bay.
Participants explore the ahupuaʻa system and learn about ancestral methods of resource management, navigation, and environmental stewardship.
Through this experience, students connect with the ʻāina, gain cultural knowledge, and deepen their understanding of sustainability grounded in Native Hawaiian values.

Agriculture Exchange
Kapule Organization organized a two-week exchange trip for agricultural students from Rurutu to Hawaiʻi, hosted by local farmers across Oʻahu. During their visit, students met with agricultural programs at various schools, shared ancestral knowledge, and built lasting connections to strengthen both cultural and farming practices.
The program celebrated the shared heritage between Pacific communities and supports the next generation of farmers and stewards of the ʻāina.

COMMUNITY GIVING
As we grow, so does our capacity to give back.
We reinvest a portion of our profits into organizations that care for our land, ocean, and people. Our recent contributions include support for the Maunalua Fishpond Heritage Center, dedicated to restoring and stewarding traditional Hawaiian fishponds, and the Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Foundation, which honors Duke’s legacy by supporting Hawaiʻi’s youth through education, athletics, and community leadership.
